THE SPARKS are returning to Grace with their Finding Christmas concert on Sunday, December 8 at 6:37 p.m. (Yep! That’s not a typo…the concert really does begin at 6:37!) The Sparks were so well received last year, and our Outreach Team invited them back for your holiday enjoyment.
2025 ALTAR FLOWERS: If you would like to place flowers on the altar in memory or in honor of a loved one, the new Altar Flowers sign-up booklet is in the Welcome Center. Cost is $30. You may pick up the flowers after 11AM. service, or they may be left in the sanctuary to be taken by pastors visiting patients or shut ins.
PARKING LOT DREAM FUND: We are accepting donations to the Parking Lot Dream Fund at any time! Just indicate ‘parking fund’ on your check or offering envelope.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Many filled shoeboxes have already been brought to the church. We still have a few Pre-printed shoeboxes available on the table near the elevator. If you’d like to pack a shoebox, you can find information about suggested gift items and learn more about the program at https://www.samaritanspurse.org. You can either use one of our pre-printed boxes or pack your own. Filled shoeboxes can be dropped off on November 10th or 17th.
Alternatively, you’re welcome to bring your gift items to the church and enjoy pizza and fellowship as we pack the shoeboxes together. Please note that Samaritan’s Purse requires a $10 donation for each box to cover processing costs. You can even track your shoebox to see where it ends up!

BISHOP JEFF GREENWAY, will be preaching on What We Believe Matters on Saturday, November 16 at 1PM at Oakland Church, 1504 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA. There will be a time of worship, inspiration, fellowship and a question-and-answer period. Bishop Greenway is a very gifted speaker and so approachable. It will be time well spent by all who take this opportunity to meet and hear our new bishop.
JUST FOR LAUGHS:
Picture this scene: a seaside-hotel breakfast room. Enter a resident. He summons the headwaiter and says, I want two boiled eggs, one of them so undercooked it’s runny, and the other so overcooked it’s about as easy to eat as rubber; grilled bacon that has been left on the plate to get cold; burnt toast that crumbles away as soon as you touch it with a knife; butter straight from the deep freeze so that it is impossible to spread; and a pot of very weak, lukewarm coffee.
The headwaiter replies, “that’s quite a complicated order, sir. It may be a bit difficult.”
“Really?” says the guest. “You sure didn’t find it difficult yesterday!”
