Traditional Music Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is threefold:
(1) to praise and worship God through music(2) to use our God-given talents to enhance the worship of others(3) to support each other with prayer and fellowship
God has given all of us many gifts. If you have a gift for music, there are many ways to share your talent in the Traditional Worship Service.
During the school year we offer vocal and handbell choirs for adults, youth, and children who like to sing or ring. If you play a musical instrument, you could join the orchestra, jazz ensemble, or brass quintet. Dancers are welcome to join Sacred Praise/

In the summer, we offer the popular program: "Summer Special Music". This is a time for solos (vocal or instrumental) or special musical groups that are formed only in the summer. Anyone can sign up to participate. (see more information below)
Our United Methodist Hymn books and the supplemental Faith We Sing books are getting very worn.
Please click here to take a survey so we can get an idea of what most people would prefer.

Opportunities to Share Your Musical Talents (May thru August)
Summer Special Music Program
During the summer, all our regular Music Ministry groups take a break. This is a time for solos, duets, trios or special groups to share their talents and enhance our worship services. This is also a time to try new things - liturgical dance, drama, new bell, vocal or instrumental groups, and the list goes on. If you would like to share some special talent with the 9:00 worshipping congregation, please sign up in the Welcome Center, see Tina St. Clair, Traditional Music Director, tstclair@indianagrace.org or 724-463-8535 ext. 25, or fill out the form on the Summer Special Music page.
Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing
As part of the Summer Special Music Program, we have a Hymn Sing every Sunday in July. We start at 8:45 a.m. (about 15 minutes before the Traditional Service) and give the congregation a chance to call out their favorite numbers. Then we all have a good time singing. The Hymn Sing stops when the 9:00 service begins. Please join us.
Are you very interested in joining one of the ensembles? Fill out this form or sign up on the bulletin board outside the Fellowship Hall or in the Welcome Center in August so we can get you more information and get you music.
